Shipment visibility is a critical prerequisite of our strategic commitment to provide the highest standard of communication and Rutges Cargo Logistics & Warehousing is the industry leader establishing EDI standards in communications with airlines. In 1999, we set an aim to make EDI the standard communications format for shipment data. reservations, status updates and delivery confirmations. Today, we receive over 60% of shipment reservations electronically and the majority of our regular air-cargo customers receive EDI status updates and arrival confirmations.
Our in-house shipment database and our capacity platform are now a fully integrated transport management system with full EDI capabilities including CargoImp and XML. We can receive and generate messages using SITA or email platforms. Our system is programmed to receive and process FFM, FBL and FFR messages and can generate DEP, ARR, RCF, DLV and DIS FSU’s.
When our truck arrives at a shipment’s destination, we generate an FSU message to update the airline host system, at which point the airline’s client can receive confirmation of delivery by logging on to their online tracking site.
We have aligned our standards with those of Cargo 2000. Part of this process is the progressive equipping of all our trucks with the ability to send real time FSU messages.
We can also help you to manage your business by generating statistical reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. These reports are tailored specifically for the client airline and would normally include traffic and cost data with variance analysis to help you measure performance.
We are dedicated to extending the principles of electronic commerce to the area of electronic invoicing, either via a CASS / IATA system or direct to the client.
Many clients already communicate electronically with us. If like them, you want to improve information accuracy, save time and money and help us plan more effectively, please get in touch with us to discuss EDI in more detail.
